Workshops

During Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarters the Student Health Advocates facilitate FREE workshops on a variety of health and wellness topics including nutrition, stress, sleep, alcohol & other drugs, and sexual health. Any UCSD student can request a workshop for their group of 10 or more students.

Tabling

During Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarters the Student Health Advocates are available to table at your existing on-campus event on a variety of health and wellness topics including nutrition, stress, sleep, alcohol & other drugs, sexual health, and SHA Program promotion.


Sexual Health Information Sessions

These FREE 50-minute sessions cover topics including birth control, sexually transmitted infections, safer sex, and more. Receive a free safer sex packet just for attending.  No appointment necessary.

Fitstop Fitness Assessments

This FREE fitness assessment measures a person's level of fitness compared to others in the same age group. Special equipment and exercises are used to measure blood pressure, heart rate, percent of body fat, flexibility, cardiovascular endurance, abdominal strength and upper body strength. No appointment necessary.

Offered Weeks 2 through Week 10 of Fall, Winter, & Spring Quarters.

No fitness assessments on 10/31 and11/22.

Location: RIMAC (by the locker rooms)


Body Composition Analysis

At this session, students will receive a FREE computer generated analysis with the following information: body weight, body mass index (BMI), percentage body fat, calculated basal metabolic rate (BMR), fat mass, fat-free mass, and total body water.
